Must love words. Must love music. Beaches may or may not be metaphorical, but waves always mean something else. Holding hands may contain coded language. Or not. Playlists will spin songs as well as constellations which, like all maps, help us find our way—even when we don’t know we’re lost.

I earned an MFA in poetry from McNeese State University, am ABD at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and I’m currently teaching English and podcasting courses for Peninsula College on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

My work has appeared in Southern Review, The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume IV: Louisiana, 21st Editions’ Jack Spencer—Prism Book Number 3, and elsewhere.
